Strength Train
Weight training or resistance training is the best thing we can do to build strong muscles and healthy bones. Plus, it releases endorphins which make us happy and give us energy.
2. Mindset
Exercise should be automatic. You just do it every day, like brushing your teeth. You don’t have to think about it, you just do it.
Pro-Tip: if you don’t feel like exercise start with a gentle and slow walk or stretching. When we get our body moving our blood starts pumping, our body releases endorphins and it seems easier to continue exercise. They say an object in motion stays in motion and an object at rest, stays at rest. So get moving and it will be easier to jump into exercise.
3. Have healthy snacks prepared, ready and easy to grab. Having cut up fruits and veggies or other healthy snacks in easy to grab packages makes making a healthy choice a no brainer. We go for the easy thing, so make the easy thing the healthy thing.
4. If you are craving food, ask yourself what am I really feeling right now?
Often times we turn to comfort food when really, we should be dealing with our thoughts, feelings or boredom in other ways.
5. If you make a promise to yourself keep it.
Start small and when you say you are going to do something just do it! This builds confidence with ourselves and it helps us with our own personal self-worth.
